Negative Marking

In the IBPS Clerk examination, negative marking is applicable for incorrect responses. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted from the total score for each question.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination are shortlisted for the interview stage. This round is conducted by participating banks and managed by a nodal bank in each state or union territory with the support of IBPS.

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • 40% for General category
    • 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen candidates

The final selection is based on combined performance:

  • Written Exam: 80% weightage
  • Interview: 20% weightage
